1. Global Discrimination: Types & Impacts

Global discrimination takes many forms-racism, sexism, ableism, religious discrimination, and xenophobia-and harms people deeply. For example, racism leads to unfair treatment: Black people in some countries face harsher police stops or lower job chances. Sexism keeps women from equal pay or leadership roles. Ableism excludes people with disabilities from schools or public spaces. These acts make individuals feel unsafe, lower their self-worth, and trap groups in cycles of inequality.

2. Poverty: Levels & Societal Impact

Poverty means lacking money for food, housing, or healthcare. Globally, 700 million people live on less than $2.15 a day. It hurts society badly: poor kids often can't go to school, so they can't get good jobs later. Poor communities have more sickness and shorter lives. Poverty also widens gaps between rich and poor, making societies less fair and stable.

3. Policies & Organizations Fighting These Challenges

  • Local: Food banks, free school meals, and community job training.
  • National: Minimum wage laws, free public healthcare, and anti-discrimination laws.
  • International , NGOs like Oxfam and Amnesty International .

4. Climate Change: Impact and Solutions

Impact: Extreme weather ruins farms and homes. Rising seas threaten coastal cities. Poor communities suffer most-they have less money to adapt. It also hurts health.

Solutions: Citizens can save energy, use public transport, and reduce waste. Organizations can plant trees, use renewable energy (solar/wind), and push for laws to cut pollution.
