1. I like to stay home instead of exercising.
2. If I feel too tired or lazy to exercise after school, then I will at least do 10 minutes of jumping jacks or stretching instead of skipping exercise completely.
3. Find a healthier activity at home that feels more enjoyable, like playing indoor basketball, dancing to music, or doing a fun workout video, instead of sitting around all day.
4. You can use pairing by connecting the exercise with something you already enjoy or already do. For example, you could listen to your favourite music while jogging or do stretches right after brushing your teeth each morning.
5. Tell a friend or family member your exercise goal and ask them to check in on you daily, so you feel responsible to actually do it.
6. Make exercise easier to start by keeping your workout clothes visible, clearing a small space at home for movement, and putting your phone away during exercise time so you’re not distracted.
