People can overcome bad habits by replacing them with better habits, avoiding triggers, and practicing self-control.

A safeguard is something that protects you from a bad habit. For example, turning off phone notifications while studying.

7. What is the difference between an abstainer and a moderator? Which one are you?

An abstainer completely avoids something, while a moderator limits it. I think I am more of a moderator because I try to control habits instead of stopping completely.
