Lesson 1- Writing a Description
What makes a good description? A good description often requires well chosen adjectives, adverbs, very and nouns that provide the reader or listener with a vivid picture of the person, place or event that is being described. Think about your favourite book. As you read the pages, can't you see the events playing out in your head like a movie? I am sure that you can see the characters clearly in your mind as they walk, run and wave their wands. How do writers create such vivid descriptions?
